Abstract

Abstract. This article analyses the role and influence of the Belt and Road Initiative on the foreign policy of the People's Republic of China(PRC), the historical background of the creation and development of the Initiative, and the general place of the strategy in PRC’s foreign policy. In addition, this article examines the place and role of certain regions of the world in terms of project implementation, the main preconditions and reasons for China's presence in these regions, and analyses the key interests of the parties in the framework of cooperation. The article also examines current challenges and their impact on the Initiative.
